This course is an up to date selective revision of the RYA Day and RYA Coastal Skipper shorebased courses.

The course includes a revision of Chartwork including position fixing, estimated position and course to steer. We revisit tidal streams and height calculations including secondary ports. Safety and IRPCS are also covered.

The course includes the 2008 updates to the syllabi including electronic navigation, DSC VHF distress, changes to buoyage and additions such as HAT.

If you took a Day or Coastal Skipper shorebased course more than a few years ago then this will be a valuable revision course.
