The ICC is an internationally recognised "driving license" for powerboats up to 10 metres in coastal waters (and optionaly inland waters by taking the CEVNI test). It is a test of navigation, seamanship and boat handling.

Your navigational theory and boat handling will need to be at or above day Powerboat Level 2 before you should attempt assessment.

If you have the prerequisite experience this intensive one day course with one of our Powerboat instructors can be taken aboard our training RIB or your own powerboat. Not all candidates are ready for the assessment and if we believe you are not, we will tell you why and work with you on the specific areas that need development.

After you pass the assessment, you can apply for an ICC certificate from the RYA which is free to members. There is a £39 license fee payable to the RYA if you are not a member.
