Some RYA courses require you to have experienced sailing at night as a prerequisite to attending a course. However obtaining night hours can be difficult if you do not own a boat or do not feel you are experienced enough to try on your own.
This one-day/night course is designed to teach skippers and crew how to navigate a yacht at night under power and sail. It includes safety tips for night time sailing, a night time pilotage exercise and a coastal passage and the chance to experience the magnificent sight of Felixstowe at night as we nestle in amongst some of the largest ships in the world.
The course is designed to appeal to all experience levels whether you want to enjoy sailing under the stars out of curiosity or you are a more experienced skipper or crew member wanting to hone your night time skills and log night hours/miles.
At the end of the sail you will have logged approximately 8 night hours.
NOTE: This is not an RYA course.
Other dates are available subject to demand so please contact us if your preferred dates are not listed above.
