Terms and Conditions

We hope you will enjoy your Sailing Experience, Private Charter or RYA course with Anglia Sea Ventures Ltd (herein referred to as Activity). We ask you to read this section carefully as it contains important information.

Refunds/cancellation
If you decide to cancel your Activity,
we will happily arrange a full refund so long as you contact us within 14 days of the purchase/booking date. If you choose to cancel after this date, you may do so up to 4 weeks prior to departure/commencement of your course but we reserve the right to charge you an administration fee of up to 25% of the cost. Refunds will be in the same form as the original payment to the purchaser only and no interest will be paid on the amount to be refunded. We regret that it is not possible to cancel a booking or course less than 4 weeks from departure/commencement date.

Age, size and health restrictions
For safety reasons, some sea based Activities have certain size, age and health restrictions. These are specified in your welcome pack. You are required to notify us of any relevant medical condition.

Activity timings
For sea based activities, these are given as a guide only, weather and tide conditions may have an impact. Nevertheless, unless we inform you to the contrary, please follow the Joining instructions described in the welcome pack.

Award of course completion certificates
If you are attending an RYA course, please be aware that your instructor will need to be satisfied that you have demonstrated the appropriate level of competence before a course completion certificate will be awarded. Attending a course does not automatically result in a course completion certificate being issued. If for any reason you do not meet the required standard your instructor will provide you with an action plan identifying areas for improvement.

If we cancel or change your activity
Some Activities may be cancelled due to weather conditions, mechanical failure, or for other reasons beyond our control. If your Activity is cancelled for this reason, you will be able to rebook. We are unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or other incidental expenses incurred by you in attending an Activity, which is cancelled for any reason.

NOTE: If we cancel your activity we will tell you as soon as possible and do our very best to agree an alternative date with you. We reserve the right to reschedule the timings or location of any Activity owing to unavailability of the activity, insufficient numbers making the Activity unavailable, and other factors beyond our control.

We reserve the right to discontinue an Activity or venue at our own discretion. We will endeavour to offer a suitable alternative Activity of the same value, however, if not we will give you a refund in full. If you wish to exchange for an alternative Activity of a higher value, you will be expected to pay the difference in price. We also reserve the right to make minor changes to the activities. Examples of minor changes include yacht specification, or order of activities on a particular day.

We reserve the right to curtail an Activity, change the itinerary or return to a different venue to that of departure at our own discretion, if in the opinion of the skipper, the vessel or anyone on board is endangered due to poor weather or other circumstances. We are unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or other incidental expenses incurred by you as a result of this. If however the duration of the Activity is cut short by 50% or more, we will allow you to rebook.

In case of a problem, please speak to the skipper/instructor on the day, so they have the opportunity to resolve any problems there and then.
